SEPMA Academy Honors Visually Impaired Singer with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Award

SEPMA Academy Honors Young Talent

The SEPMA Academy honored young talent at a special event in Karachi. The ceremony formed part of the ten-year celebrations of Shaan e Pakistan.

Moreover, the event highlighted the academy’s work for visually impaired and specially abled students. As a result, guests learned about new plans for inclusion and music education.

SEPMA Academy Presents Top Award

The evening featured the prestigious Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Award. This year, Gulsher from Ida Rieu received the honor.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani presented the award. He also gave citations to students from Ida Rieu, IHRI, and TCF.

As a result, many young performers received recognition for their hard work and talent.

Shaan e Pakistan Marks Ten Years

The event took place under the banner of Shaan-e-Pakistan Foundation. The organization has promoted culture through music, food, and fashion for a decade.

During her welcome speech, Shanaz Ramzi shared the vision behind SEPMA Academy.

In addition, she explained that the academy honors the memory of Haji Zikar Pardesi. She added that the academy offers free music education to visually impaired and specially abled individuals.

Huma Pardesi Announces New Goals

Later, Huma Haji Zikar Pardesi spoke about future plans.

She said the academy wants to help students reach international platforms. Furthermore, she urged supporters to contribute to the initiative.

According to her, collective efforts can create greater opportunities. Therefore, she encouraged individuals and organizations to join the mission.

Leaders Support Inclusion

Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani welcomed the partnership with SEPMA Academy. He said such collaborations can benefit underserved communities.

Likewise, Razzak Pardesi stressed the value of working together. He noted that cooperation can help organizations achieve better results.

Inclusive Arts Take the Spotlight

The event attracted several well-known guests. Among them were Sahir Lodhi and Ishtiaq Baig.

In addition, the program featured a short tableau and awareness activity. Huma Haji Zikar Pardesi produced and directed the performance.

As a result, the audience gained a deeper understanding of accessibility and inclusion in the arts.

Inclusivity Festival Planned for 2026

The SEPMA Academy also announced the Jashn e Shaan e Pakistan 2026 Inclusivity Festival.

The festival will bring together artists, students, educators, and community leaders. Moreover, it will showcase talent from diverse backgrounds.

Ultimately, organizers hope the event will create new opportunities. At the same time, they want to strengthen inclusion in Pakistan’s cultural sector.
