KARACHI: Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has emerged as the most awarded airline at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE) 2026, securing 12 international accolades across the TravelPlus, Onboard Hospitality, and PAX International Readership Awards.
The achievement is particularly significant for travelers from Pakistan, where Saudia operates frequent flights from Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. These routes serve as vital links to Jeddah and Riyadh for Umrah, Hajj, business, and family travel.
The 2026 Onboard Hospitality Awards honored the airline for “Best First-Class Food Service” and “Best Amenities: Economy,” while also recognizing its “Best Wearable Textiles.” These enhancements in cabin comfort directly impact the thousands of Pakistani passengers who rely on the carrier for long-haul and religious journeys.
Further cementing its status, the TravelPlus Airline Amenity Awards 2026 granted Saudia five Gold awards for its Economy Class amenity kits and blankets, Business Class serviceware, and First Class sleeper suits. The airline also earned the prestigious TravelPlus Passenger Amenities Five Star Rating 2026, a distinction held by only a few carriers globally.
In the technology and family sectors, the PAX International Readership Awards recognized Saudia for “Best IFE and Connectivity” and “Best Children’s Amenity Kit” in the Middle East.
Saudia is currently undergoing the largest guest experience investment program in its history. This initiative includes the integration of artificial intelligence, high-speed inflight connectivity, and comprehensive cabin upgrades, all aimed at delivering authentic Saudi hospitality to its international and Pakistani guests.
