Pakistani actor Sarwat Gilani has revealed that Bollywood star Aamir Khan once contacted her team to request episodes of legendary Pakistani comedian and actor Moin Akhtar’s television programme Loose Talk.
Gilani shared the revelation during a recent interview. She said she connected with several Indian personalities after Churails gained international attention.
She also came into contact with Khan through a member of his production team whom she already knew.
Aamir Khan’s Unexpected Request
When Khan’s team contacted her, Gilani initially thought the Bollywood actor might want to cast her in a Hindi film.
“I thought, wow, Aamir Khan. Maybe I’m going to be in a Hindi film,” she recalled.

Praise for Moin Akhtar
Gilani also recalled Khan’s admiration for Moin Akhtar’s extraordinary range as a performer.
According to her, Khan said he had never seen an actor who could convincingly portray such a wide variety of appearances and characters with the same level of skill.
Moin Akhtar hosted Loose Talk, in which he played different fictional characters while interviewing guests. His ability to transform his appearance, voice and mannerisms made the programme one of the most recognisable comedy formats in Pakistan.
Gilani’s account highlights the lasting appeal of Akhtar’s work beyond Pakistan and shows how his performances continue to attract interest from audiences and entertainers across the region.
