Roma Mushtaq Matto Condemns Bhittaiabad Killing of Hindu Family

Karachi: Parliamentary Secretary for Minority Affairs, Roma Mushtaq Matto, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of three members of a Hindu family in Bhittaiabad and the injuring of women, including two young girls, calling it a “heart-wrenching and cowardly act.”

She said the tragedy is not only a loss for the bereaved family but also a calamity for the entire minority community and humanity. Roma Mushtaq Matto assured that the Sindh government and the Department of Minority Affairs are treating the case with utmost seriousness, and transparent investigations are already underway. She stressed that the culprits will be brought to justice without delay.

The parliamentary secretary reaffirmed that the Sindh government will stand firmly with the victims’ family, ensuring medical treatment for the injured girls, financial assistance for the heirs, and legal support. She personally visited the home of the deceased, met with the grieving relatives, and extended condolences. She also announced her visit to the hospital to meet the injured women and children and review their treatment.

Roma Mushtaq Matto emphasized that protecting the lives and property of minorities is a top priority of the Sindh government, declaring that no injustice or oppression against minorities will be tolerated.

She appealed to the public to avoid spreading rumors and to fully cooperate with police and law enforcement agencies so that the real perpetrators receive exemplary punishment.

In her closing remarks, she prayed for the departed souls, a speedy recovery for the injured, and strength for the bereaved family in this hour of grief.
