Former Federal Secretary Takes Charge of Key Recruitment Body in Sindh
Senior bureaucrat and former Grade-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, Rizwan Ahmed, has been assigned additional charge as Chairman of the Sindh Public Service Commission.
The appointment places him at the helm of one of Sindh’s key institutions responsible for the recruitment of provincial civil service officers.
Extensive Administrative Experience Across Federal and Provincial Roles
Rizwan Ahmed brings decades of high-level administrative experience, having served in several critical positions including Federal Secretary Maritime Affairs, Chairman of Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP), Chairman of Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC), Health Secretary Sindh, and Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad.
He is a former Grade-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service.
Academic Background
He holds a Master’s degree from Harvard University, USA, reflecting a strong academic foundation alongside his extensive civil service career.
Significance of Appointment
Officials say his appointment is expected to strengthen administrative oversight and improve the functioning and transparency of the provincial recruitment system in Sindh.
