Karachi: Pakistani religious parties condemned Israeli aggression against Iran and showed solidarity with the brother nation during visits to the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi.

Delegations from Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Sindh, Muttahida Ulema Mahaz Pakistan, and the Milli Yakjehti Council Sindh met with Mr. Vahed Asghari, the Chargé d’affaires of the Iranian Consulate, and expressed their unwavering support amid growing tensions between Iran and Israel.

Iranian Diplomat Highlights Peaceful Intentions, Criticizes Israeli Hostility

During the meetings, Mr. Vahed Asghari expressed deep gratitude to the government and people of Pakistan, as well as religious scholars and intellectuals, for standing with Iran.

He stressed that Iran is a peace-loving and conciliatory nation and reaffirmed that Iran’s nuclear program is entirely peaceful and focused solely on development and scientific progress.

“Israel is an artificial and illegitimate state,” he asserted, “which has, since its inception, tried to survive by dividing Muslim nations.” He emphasized the teachings of Imam Khomeini, who consistently advocated for Muslim unity and warned against Western exploitation of the Islamic world’s resources.

Asghari lamented that over the past year and a half, Israel has martyred more than 50,000 Muslims—including women and children—in Gaza, and said that such brutality could have been prevented if the Islamic world had stood united.

Religious Leaders Express Support and Condemn Israeli Aggression

Religious and political figures accompanying the delegations voiced strong condemnation of Israeli and American aggression and declared full support for Iran’s resistance.

Maulana Mehraj-ul-Huda Siddiqui said, “The people of Pakistan are with Iran. The world saw the Iranian nation take to the streets in support of Ayatollah Khamenei. Iran is not alone.”

Mohammad Hussain Mehnati highlighted Iran’s past support for Pakistan and declared, “Backing the Islamic Republic today is our moral and historical obligation. Iran is the voice of the oppressed.”

Asadullah Bhutto stated, “Silence in the face of injustice is a betrayal of the Prophet’s (PBUH) Sunnah. Our support for Iran stems from religious conviction, not political interest.”

Scholars Call for Muslim Unity and Acknowledge Iran’s Role

Maulana Hasan Zafar Naqvi declared, “Iran was created to lead with dignity and truth. Its resilience is a model for the Muslim world.”

He noted that support for Iran spans across sects and ideologies, mentioning leading Sunni scholars like Maulana Taqi Usmani, Maulana Tariq Masood, and figures from Jamaat-e-Islami.

Maulana Muhammad Amin Ansari said, “This is not just Iran’s war — it’s the war of the entire Muslim Ummah.” He added that, if not for the ceasefire, scholars were prepared to issue fatwas for jihad in Iran’s defense.

Asad Iqbal Zaidi echoed the Iranian Supreme Leader’s words: “The enemy may start the war, but we will end it.” He called both the United States and Israel the Great Satans, warning they may try to provoke another war but affirmed, “We have full faith in the leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei.”
