inDrive Becomes Top-Ranked Mobility App in Pakistan on Google Play and App Store

This milestone reflects the platform’s growing

popularity and its disruptive impact on the

country’s ride-hailing landscape

Business Reporter

Kaarchi: inDrive, the global urban mobility and services platform, has secured the top position in Pakistan’s Maps & Navigation category on Google Play Store and ranked first in the Travel category on Apple’s App Store. This milestone reflects the platform’s growing popularity and its disruptive impact on the country’s ride-hailing landscape.

Launched in Pakistan in 2021, inDrive now operates in over 20 cities and stands out for its peer-to-peer pricing model, where riders and drivers negotiate fares directly — bypassing surge-based pricing algorithms used by traditional platforms.

People-First Model Gains Traction

“Our model resonates because it puts people first — they decide the price, not an algorithm,” said Awais Saeed, Country Manager for inDrive Pakistan. He attributed the platform’s growth to organic adoption, a focus on underserved areas, and social impact initiatives.

inDrive is actively investing in community programs, including support for drivers’ families, training projects, and the onboarding of women drivers, underscoring its commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.

Redefining Urban Commuting in Pakistan

The platform’s rise comes at a time when urban commuters are seeking greater affordability, transparency, and control. With inDrive, riders can propose a fare based on distance, time, or what they feel is fair. Drivers then choose to accept, reject, or negotiate — making the process more flexible and personalized.

Beyond ride-hailing, inDrive offers courier services, freight delivery, intercity travel, and B2B transport solutions. Internationally, the platform continues to thrive, ranking as the second-most downloaded ride-hailing app globally for three consecutive years and placing fifth in the global travel app category.
