President Asif Ali Zardari’s flight was delayed on Tuesday after a malfunction affected the aircraft system in the United Kingdom, according to party sources.
The flight was scheduled to depart at 5pm British time. However, the technical issue prevented the aircraft from leaving on time.
Sources said the flight is expected to depart within the next few hours after engineers fully restore the system.
The technical issue also affected flights carrying members of President Zardari’s staff in the UK.

Some staff members have started travelling through commercial flights. Other members of the delegation have already left the airport.
The president’s luggage has also been sent ahead, according to the sources.
President Zardari’s aircraft is scheduled to leave from London Luton Airport for Turkey.
He will then travel from Turkey to Pakistan, sources said.
The president had been in the UK as part of his international engagements before beginning his return journey to Pakistan.
