Pakistan’s First Zombie Survival Thriller ‘Zombeid’ Wows Karachi Premiere Ahead of Global Eid Release

Star-studded event at Nueplex Cinemas marks major milestone for Pakistani cinema

KARACHI (May 26, 2026) — Pakistani cinema reached a new milestone as Filmwala Pictures unveiled its highly anticipated film Zombeid at a grand, star-studded premiere held at Nueplex Cinemas Karachi, ahead of its worldwide Eid ul Azha 2026 release.

Billed as Pakistan’s first large-scale zombie survival thriller, the film has already been described by early viewers as a “game-changer” for the local film industry due to its scale, technical execution, and ambitious storytelling.


A Red Carpet Packed with Star Power

The premiere brought together leading figures from Pakistan’s entertainment industry, with major celebrities in attendance including Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat, alongside filmmakers Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza.

Prominent personalities from film, television, fashion, music, and media also attended, making the event one of the biggest cinematic gatherings of the year.


High-Intensity Storytelling and Visual Impact

Inside the cinema, Zombeid delivered a high-energy viewing experience combining survival thriller elements, action, emotional drama, romance, and humor set against a large-scale zombie outbreak.

Audience reactions were overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the film’s cinematic ambition and comparing its visual experience to international Hollywood productions.

Special appreciation was directed toward the film’s visual effects and post-production work by Postistan, which attendees called a standout feature of the project.

The Zombeid team also announced a wide international release campaign under the slogan “From Pakistan… to the WORLD.”

The film is set for a major global rollout during Eid ul Azha 2026, with releases planned across:

USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Norway, Denmark, Malaysia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.

The release marks one of the most extensive international distribution plans for a Pakistani film to date.
