Islamabad: Renowned Pakistani scientist Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General of COMSTECH, has been honored with the prestigious Sheikh Zayed International TCAM (Traditional Complementary and Alternative Medicine) Award 2024 in the Traditional Herbal Medicine category under the Academic division. The accolade recognizes his exceptional contributions and academic achievements in the field of traditional and complementary medicine.
The Sheikh Zayed International Award for TCAM is the first global award of its kind, celebrating excellence across all TCAM specialties.
The award ceremony was held at the Hotel Beach Rotana in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Notable figures, including Tariq Al Haidan, former Foreign Ministry Member; Dr. Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard; and Prof. Wang Jingui, President of the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, conferred the honor.
Prof. Choudhary’s groundbreaking work in herbal medicine has gained global recognition, emphasizing the increasing relevance of traditional medicine in modern healthcare. This award not only highlights his individual achievements but also underscores Pakistan’s contributions to the field of traditional and complementary medicine.
