Jakarta: Four prominent Pakistani influencers—Areeka Haq, Hira Attique, Laiba Shah, and Hemayal Attique—recently toured Indonesia to spotlight its vibrant tourism and encourage female travelers from Pakistan. The visit, facilitated by the Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi, was part of a tourism diplomacy initiative with a gender mainstreaming approach.

Highlights of the Tour

The influencers’ journey included visits to Jakarta, Bandung, and Bali, showcasing Indonesia’s diverse attractions:

  • Jakarta:
    • Monas Monument
    • Istiqlal Mosque
    • Sarinah Mall
  • Bandung:
    • Experience on the new high-speed Woosh train
    • Dusun Bambu Family Park
    • Scenic Skyline Resto View
  • Bali:
    • Thrilling activities like ATV rides and the Bali Swing
    • Visits to Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, The Jungle, Alas Harum Bali, and Alaska Bali

Social Media Impact

Throughout the tour, the influencers shared their experiences across social media platforms, captivating their young, largely female audience in Pakistan. The overwhelming positive feedback highlighted Indonesia’s appeal as a safe and exciting destination for women travelers.

Fostering Cross-Cultural Connections

This initiative is part of Indonesia’s broader efforts to enhance tourism ties with Pakistan, emphasizing shared values and cultural similarities. With both countries featuring significant Muslim populations and young demographics, this collaboration underscores Indonesia’s welcoming environment and commitment to safe travel opportunities for women.

The influencers’ tour marks a significant step in strengthening people-to-people connections and inspiring more women from Pakistan to explore Indonesia’s natural beauty, culture, and adventure offerings.
