Shafique Anchors Pakistan’s Innings
Earlier, Abdullah Shafique produced a superb unbeaten 160 to guide Pakistan to 387 in their first innings.
However, Pakistan failed to capitalise fully after resuming on 266-2, losing their final eight wickets for 106 runs.
West Indies left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican starred with the ball, claiming 6-112. He wrapped up the innings by taking three wickets in four deliveries just before tea.
Babar’s Run-Out Sparks Collapse
Pakistan captain Babar Azam resumed on 86 but added only two more runs before a costly mix-up ended his innings.
Meanwhile, Brandon King produced a direct hit from point to run out Babar. King suffered back spasms during the play and later left the field on a stretcher.
Following Babar’s dismissal, Pakistan lost three wickets for just five runs before Shafique and Sajid Khan steadied the innings with a 59-run partnership.
Pakistan Spinners Take Control
Pakistan’s bowlers dominated the final session on a pitch offering sharp turn and uneven bounce.
Sajid Khan claimed 4 wickets, while Ali Usman picked up 2 wickets, including the dismissal of West Indies captain Roston Chase with the final ball of the day.
West Indies Face Tough Challenge
Justin Greaves, who top-scored in the first innings, remains unbeaten and will resume the innings on day four.
However, the hosts also face uncertainty over Brandon King’s fitness after his injury.
Pakistan now needs four more wickets to secure victory and level the Test series.
