Mohamed Salah could continue his career in Türkiye after Trabzonspor confirmed it has opened transfer negotiations with the former Liverpool forward.

The Turkish Super Lig club announced on Tuesday that it had started talks to sign Salah, who is currently a free agent after leaving Liverpool.
Talks Progress Positively
Club chairman Ertugrul Dogan said negotiations were moving in a positive direction.
Moreover, he revealed that Salah is expected to arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday for medical examinations before travelling to Trabzon to complete the transfer process.
Dogan added that the club hopes to finalise the agreement and sign the contract on Thursday.
Liverpool Career Ends on a High
Salah became a free agent after ending a successful nine-year spell at Liverpool this summer.
During his time at Anfield, he scored 257 goals in 442 appearances and helped the club win two Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League.
Outstanding Final Season
The Egyptian forward enjoyed another impressive campaign in the 2024–25 Premier League season.
He scored 29 league goals and provided 18 assists.
As a result, he matched the record for the most goal involvements in a single Premier League season and set a new record for a 38-match campaign.
He also won the Premier League Player of the Season, Golden Boot, and Playmaker Award.
New Challenge Awaits
Before joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah played for Basel, Chelsea, Fiorentina, and Roma.
Meanwhile, Trabzonspor finished third in the Turkish Super Lig last season and secured a place in the UEFA Europa League play-off round.
