Pakistan Pavilion Shines at World Expo 2025 Osaka with Two International Awards

Special Correspondent

Osaka: Pakistan has achieved a major milestone at the World Expo 2025 Osaka, securing two prestigious international awards for its innovative and culturally rich pavilion.

The Pakistan Pavilion received the Bronze Award in the ‘Exhibition Category’ from the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) during a special ceremony held in Osaka. The award was accepted by Mr. Muhammad Naseer, Senior Director General at the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and Project Director for the pavilion.

In addition, Exhibitor Online, a leading international publication recognizing excellence at World Expos, honored Pakistan with the Editors’ Choice Award for its creative presentation, cultural authenticity, and compelling narrative concept — “Universe in a Grain of Salt,” inspired by Pakistan’s iconic pink rock salt.

Since its opening, the Pakistan Pavilion has drawn over 1.7 million visitors in just six months, becoming one of the Expo’s most admired attractions.

The awards underscore Pakistan’s growing visibility on the global cultural and innovation landscape, reflecting the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Commerce, the Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo, the Curatorial Team, TDAP, and various partners who contributed to the pavilion’s success.
