Abu Dhabi: The Embassy of Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates hosted the Jashn-e-Azadi Festival 2025 at the Gold & Silver Ballroom of Abu Dhabi Country Club on 9 August 2025, commemorating the 78th Independence Anniversary of Pakistan, celebrated every year on 14 August. The event drew a large gathering of Pakistani community members, Emirati dignitaries, and friends of Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, warmly welcomed the guests and congratulated the community on the upcoming Independence Day. He paid tribute to the founding fathers of Pakistan, honoring their sacrifices for freedom, and emphasized the values of unity, cultural pride, and community engagement as vital in strengthening the bonds between Pakistan and the UAE.

The festival featured a Mushaira (poetry recital), live music performances, and colorful stalls offering Pakistani food, handicrafts, and cultural displays. Families enjoyed a festive atmosphere that celebrated the rich traditions, arts, and flavors of Pakistan.

Ambassador Tirmizi also praised the contributions of overseas Pakistanis in the UAE, reaffirming the Embassy’s commitment to promoting Pakistan’s culture, heritage, and national identity abroad. He noted that such events foster goodwill, cultural understanding, and closer people-to-people ties between Pakistan and the UAE.
