Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that Pakistan achieved success in what he described as the “Battle of Truth,” attributing the outcome to what he called divine support. He also praised the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, stating that he was “granted special divine assistance.”
Addressing a joint press conference alongside Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Mohsin Naqvi said nationwide events are being organized to mark the outcome of the “Battle of Truth.” He claimed that Pakistan’s armed forces remained fully prepared and effectively safeguarded national territory during the situation.
He alleged that India deployed small and medium-sized drones across multiple areas, most of which were intercepted and neutralized at the border by Pakistani security forces. He further claimed that attempted cyber operations were unsuccessful and did not create any significant impact on Pakistan’s digital systems.
The Interior Minister stated that Pakistan’s armed forces played a decisive role during the confrontation, asserting that military responses had a substantial effect on opposing positions. He maintained that Pakistan targeted only military installations, while accusing India of striking civilian areas.
Highlighting the role of media, Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistani media helped maintain national unity and delivered a consistent narrative during the period. He contrasted this with what he described as confusion in Indian media reporting.
He also emphasized the importance of intelligence agencies, stating that timely intelligence sharing and coordination played a key role in ensuring operational readiness. According to him, early warnings from intelligence institutions strengthened Pakistan’s response capability.
Referring to diplomatic developments, he said international efforts helped prevent further escalation of tensions, and mentioned former US President Donald Trump in the context of regional de-escalation.
Reaffirming confidence in Field Marshal Asim Munir’s leadership, the Interior Minister said trust in his role is essential for regional stability and diplomatic engagement.
He concluded that close coordination between Pakistan’s military, intelligence agencies, and state institutions contributed to strengthening national defense and deterring further aggression.
