Pakistan, China Sign Landmark MoU to Introduce Pyrolysis Technology in Karachi

Beijing: Beijing hosted a key milestone in Pakistan-China industrial cooperation as Jiangsu Yuyu Investment Co., Ltd. (China) and Chaudhary Shafiq Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. (Pakistan) signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish Low Temperature Anaerobic Pyrolysis Technology in Karachi. The MoU was inked during the 2nd Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference, attended by a high-level delegation led by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, reaffirming the government’s commitment to sustainable industrial partnerships.
The collaboration introduces advanced pyrolysis technology in Pakistan, enabling waste-to-energy conversion to reduce environmental pollution, promote circular waste management, contribute to carbon reduction goals, and create new opportunities in clean energy. This initiative supports Pakistan’s sustainable development agenda while fostering industrial modernization.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Luo Peng, CEO of Jiangsu Yuyu Investment, underlined China’s determination to share green technologies with Pakistan to strengthen environmental sustainability. Meanwhile, Mr. Muhammad Kashif Shaikh, CEO of Chaudhary Shafiq Manufacturing, stressed that the project would boost Pakistan’s renewable energy sector and further deepen bilateral trade and investment ties with China.
The agreement sets a new milestone in Pakistan-China cooperation, aligning Chinese innovation with Pakistan’s industrial progress and paving the way toward a cleaner and greener future.
