Karachi: The Orange Tree Foundation (OTF) held its Changemakers Gathering in Karachi, reaffirming its commitment to support high-merit but financially challenged students through scholarships and holistic mentorship programs aimed at fostering financial independence.

OTF’s Mission: Education with Empathy
OTF CEO Mr. Omer Mateen Allahwala emphasized the foundation’s broader vision of not only providing financial aid but also offering emotional and mentorship support to enable youth to thrive and become agents of positive change in society.

Partnerships Driving Educational Impact
Distinguished guest Mr. Mushtaq Chhapra, Co-founder of The Citizens Foundation (TCF), highlighted the powerful collaboration between TCF and OTF, which has enabled over 300,000 underprivileged children to access free education and pursue higher education opportunities through OTF scholarships.

Dr. Amjad Saqib, Founder of Akhuwat, praised OTF’s values-driven model. “Education backed by empathy transforms communities,” he remarked during his keynote speech.

Global Support for Youth Empowerment
His Excellency Mr. Herman Hardynata Ahmad, Consul General of Malaysia, expressed admiration for OTF’s mission, recognizing education as a cornerstone of youth empowerment and international cooperation.

Pledge Session Garners Strong Institutional Support
A moving pledge session, led by Mr. Danish Aman, drew generous commitments from leading institutions, including HabibMetro Bank and Bank Alfalah. Influential personalities such as Mayor of Badin Mr. Junaid Naqi, KATI President Mrs. Farheen Salman, and Mr. Bilal Ahmed, CEO of Lipton Teas & Infusions, also pledged their support.

The event was further bolstered by the involvement of prominent hosts, patrons, and supporters from the corporate and academic sectors—demonstrating a collective dedication to expanding educational access for Pakistan’s youth.
