Karachi — NJV School has unveiled its latest art exhibition titled “Muraqqa-e-Sheher (The City’s Album)”, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s cultural and academic journey toward promoting creative arts education in Pakistan.
The exhibition was inaugurated at NJV School and curated by Romila Kareem, while it was hosted by Farzana Tunio. The event brought together artists, educators, students, and members of the media, highlighting Karachi’s evolving urban and cultural landscape through contemporary artistic expression.
The exhibition features works by prominent artists including Meher Afroz, Abdul Jabbar Gul, Furrukh Shahab, Shahana Munawwar, Adnan Mairaj, Hassnain Awais, Munawwar Ali Syed, and Nusrat Khawaja, showcasing a diverse interpretation of urban life and cultural identity.
Speaking on the occasion, organizers emphasized that the initiative aims to bridge traditional craftsmanship with modern academic discourse, offering students and emerging artists a platform for creative exploration. They noted that the exhibition aligns with NJV School’s broader vision of strengthening vocational arts education in Pakistan through a newly introduced diploma program in art and design.
Farzana Tunio said the exhibition reflects the institution’s commitment to creating a space where art, history, and education intersect, enabling students to develop strong creative foundations while engaging with both heritage and contemporary ideas.
