London: Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has stressed the importance of raising awareness about mental health issues and reducing the stigma associated with discussing psychological conditions.

She noted that many people still feel hesitant or embarrassed when talking about mental well-being, which needs to change through greater public awareness.
The actress also condemned incidents of harassment and violence in society, stating that addressing harmful attitudes requires a shift in mindset and accountability for those responsible.
Mahira Khan further shared her experience of meeting King Charles during the event, describing the interaction as positive. She said the King showed interest in her social work and appreciated her association with the British Asian Trust.
She added that such engagements help highlight important social causes and encourage broader conversations around mental health and community welfare.
