KPT Hosts 2nd Defense Day Taekwondo Championship 2024

More than 150 boys and girls from all districts

of Karachi participated in the event, showcasing

their skills in two categories

Karachi: The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) successfully organized the 2nd KPT Defense Day Taekwondo Championship 2024 at the KPT Sports Complex. More than 150 boys and girls from all districts of Karachi participated in the event, showcasing their skills in two categories: under 12 (Kids) and under 14 (Cadets). The competition featured a total of 137 fights, with 65 in the Kids’ category and 72 in the Cadets’.

Brig Tariq Bashir TI (M), General Manager Administration of KPT, attended the event as the chief guest, distributing medals and shields to the winners on behalf of KPT Chairman Syed Syedain Raza Zaidi. Other notable figures in attendance included Deputy Commandant PSF Commander Waheem Haider and Deputy CMO Ghazala Siddique.

Championship Results

  • 1st Place: District Malir (49 points)
  • 2nd Place: District Central (30 points)
  • 3rd Place: District South (25 points)

The event was a testament to the growing interest in martial arts among Karachi’s youth, with participants demonstrating remarkable talent and discipline.
