Karachi: Abdul Samad Memon (Budhani) has been elected unopposed as the Chairman of the Pakistan Chemists and Druggists Association (PCDA) for the 2024-2026 term. The PCDA Election Committee made the announcement after a smooth, uncontested election.
Arshad Mehmood Awan from Islamabad was elected as Senior Vice Chairman, while Ashfaq Mehmood from Peshawar was named Vice Chairman. The Central Executive Committee (CEC) members were also elected unopposed, with representation from across Pakistan.
From Karachi, Sobia Saif, Kashif Rehman, Ashraf Zaib, Zulfiqar Ali Hakim, and Amir Madni were chosen to serve on the CEC. Faheem Uddin from Quetta, Amjad Murad from Sukkur, and Ali Bawani and Miss Farwa Baig from Mirpur Khas were also selected. Peshawar representatives include Bilal Ahmed, Ibad ur Rehman, Obaidullah, Aslam Pervaiz, M. Shakir Siddiqui, and Noor Zaman.
The new leadership team is set to begin its two-year term immediately, aiming to advocate for the rights and interests of chemists and druggists nationwide.
