KARACHI: Renowned philanthropist and CEO of Adpulse IMC (Pvt) Ltd Khurram Jaffrani visited Aaghosh Homes Trust, where he met elderly shelterless women and orphan girls living with physical and intellectual disabilities.
During the visit, Jaffrani pledged his support for Aaghosh Trust’s proposed dedicated home for girls who require specialised assistance, rehabilitation and lifelong care.

He was received by Aaghosh Trust Secretary General Muhammad Jazib, along with Trustees Shakeel Baig and Manzar Naqvi. Aaghosh Trust President Shagufta Saba briefed him on the organisation’s humanitarian services and its long-standing work to provide shelter, food, healthcare, protection and dignity to abandoned and shelterless elderly women.
Saba also highlighted the need for a separate, purpose-built facility for orphan girls with physical and intellectual disabilities. The proposed home is intended to provide specialised residential care, medical support, rehabilitation, therapy, education and protection in a safe environment.
Jaffrani toured Aaghosh Homes and met the elderly residents as well as girls with disabilities. He spoke with the residents, listened to their experiences and appreciated the care and support provided by the trust.
As a gesture of solidarity, Jaffrani presented gifts to the residents. He also showed particular affection towards a one-and-a-half-year-old girl, the daughter of a young resident with an intellectual disability, and presented gifts to the child.
Speaking about the proposed facility, Jaffrani assured the trust’s management of his support for establishing a dedicated home for physically and intellectually disabled orphan girls. The project aims to ensure that girls requiring lifelong assistance have access to shelter, healthcare, rehabilitation and a secure and dignified living environment.
Jaffrani also told the elderly residents that his visit would not be a one-time occasion. He pledged to visit Aaghosh Homes regularly and remain connected with its humanitarian work.
Aaghosh Trust President Shagufta Saba, Secretary General Muhammad Jazib and Trustees Shakeel Baig and Manzar Naqvi thanked Jaffrani for his support and commitment. They said contributions from philanthropists, businesses and the corporate sector could help turn the proposed facility into reality.
Aaghosh Trust has been serving abandoned and shelterless elderly women for nearly 25 years, providing them with a home, care and dignity. Building on this work, the trust is now seeking support from philanthropists, corporations and institutions to establish a permanent home for orphan girls with physical and intellectual disabilities.
