Karachi to Remain Extremely Hot and Humid as Heat Index May Reach 46°C

Meteorological Department Warns of Intense Heat Across Southern Pakistan

Residents of Karachi are expected to face another day of extremely hot and humid weather, with the perceived temperature likely to range between 43°C and 46°C.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, humidity levels in the city currently stand at 69 percent, intensifying the impact of the heat despite the forecast maximum temperature remaining around 38°C.

Sea Breeze Disruption Adds to Heat Intensity

The Met Office said the current temperature in Karachi is 29°C, while westerly winds are blowing at a speed of 19 kilometres per hour. Weather experts noted that weak or disrupted sea breezes are contributing to the uncomfortable conditions in the coastal city.

Hot Weather Expected Across Most Parts of Pakistan

The weather department stated that most parts of Pakistan will continue to experience hot conditions, while southern and central regions are likely to remain under severe heatwave-like conditions.

Partly cloudy weather is expected in upper mountainous regions.

Rain Forecast for KP and Northern Balochistan

The Met Office also predicted that some areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern Balochistan could receive rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms during the evening or nighttime.

Sibi and Dadu Record Highest Temperatures

On Saturday, Sibi recorded the country’s highest temperature at 46°C, while Dadu reached 45°C.
