Karachi Robbery turned deadly after a 28-year-old doctor was shot and killed during an armed robbery outside a private bank in Karachi’s Clifton area, where suspects escaped with Rs2.5 million in cash.
According to SSP South Mahzoor Ali, Dr. Akash, his father and another companion had withdrawn Rs5 million from a private bank near Teen Talwar. They later arrived at another bank in Boat Basin to deposit the money when armed assailants attacked their vehicle.

Police said a security guard opened fire at the suspects, prompting an exchange of gunfire. During the incident, Dr. Akash sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
The attackers fled the scene after snatching one bag containing Rs2.5 million, while the remaining cash was not taken.
Police have taken the bank’s security guard into custody as part of the investigation and are examining all aspects of the incident, including the circumstances surrounding the exchange of fire.
Authorities said investigators are reviewing evidence and working to identify and arrest the suspects involved in the robbery and fatal shooting.
