Italy National Day Celebrated in Karachi with Aseefa Bhutto Zardari as Chief Guest

Karachi – The Consul of Italy in Karachi, Fabrizio Bielli, hosted a grand celebration of the Italian National Day 2025 at the Beach Luxury Hotel, showcasing Italy’s rich cultural heritage and strengthening bilateral ties with Pakistan.

The event was graced by First Lady of Pakistan, Her Excellency Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, who attended as the chief guest. She was accompanied by Madam Faryal Talpur, President of the Pakistan Peoples Party Women Wing, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, federal and provincial ministers, diplomats, parliamentarians, and senior officials.

Italy-Pakistan Ties Highlighted

In his welcome address, Consul Fabrizio Bielli thanked the distinguished guests and emphasized the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Italy and Pakistan, particularly in trade, economic development, and cultural exchange.

Italian Culinary Delights Take Center Stage

To mark the occasion, renowned Italian Chef Vincenzo De Liso was invited from Naples to curate a menu showcasing Italy’s culinary excellence. Guests were treated to authentic Italian dishes, premium Illy coffee, traditional Italian gelato, and a selection of fine Italian cheeses.

MoU Signed with Emirates Airlines

During the event, Consul Bielli announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Italian Consulate in Karachi and Emirates Airlines. The MoU aims to boost economic, commercial, and cultural engagement, with Emirates exploring opportunities to support events organized by the Consulate and promote business activities in Italy.

To conclude the evening, Consul Bielli invited First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Madam Faryal Talpur, and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to join him on stage for the announcement of winners of an exclusive VERSACE lucky draw, adding a glamorous touch to the celebration.
