Mohsin Naqvi arrives in Tehran for talks with Iranian officials on regional diplomacy and Iran–US negotiations.
Mohsin Naqvi has arrived in Tehran for high-level meetings with senior Iranian officials, as Pakistan deepens its diplomatic engagement around ongoing Iran talks involving the United States.
The visit was confirmed by Iranian media and the Iranian Foreign Ministry, which said Naqvi is scheduled to meet Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi as well as Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni during his stay.
According to Iranian officials, the discussions will focus on regional developments and Pakistan’s role in supporting diplomatic channels linked to the Iran–US negotiations. The visit is also expected to include consultations on broader security and political coordination between the two neighbours.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Pakistan’s engagement reflects continued efforts connected to the ongoing diplomatic process between Tehran and Washington. He added that the meetings will also cover regional stability and cooperation.
Naqvi is expected to monitor developments around the Iran–US dialogue during his visit, which comes amid sustained diplomatic activity between Islamabad and Tehran.
The Interior Minister has visited Iran multiple times in recent years, underscoring Pakistan’s consistent outreach to Iranian leadership on security and regional issues.
Officials in both countries say the latest visit aims to maintain momentum in diplomatic communication as regional negotiations continue.
