SEOUL: BTS member V, whose distinctive eyes and recognizable facial features have made him one of K-pop’s most recognizable stars, has become the subject of a personality reading based on a facial-profiling system.
The analysis uses the method associated with Australian facial-profiling expert Alan Stevens, which assigns possible personality traits to specific facial characteristics. The reading examines seven features and links them with qualities such as confidence, friendliness, tolerance, humor, generosity, decisiveness and charisma.
According to the method, the width-to-length ratio of the face can indicate confidence. Narrower faces are interpreted as suggesting a more cautious personality, while wider faces are associated with greater confidence. V’s facial proportions are placed in the latter category.
The position of the eyebrows is also considered. Higher-set eyebrows are interpreted as indicating that a person values personal space and prefers to control the level of social interaction. V’s higher-set eyebrows are therefore associated with someone who may enjoy socializing while still appreciating personal boundaries.
Eye placement is used to interpret tolerance. Under the system, wider-set eyes are linked to greater patience and tolerance when dealing with the mistakes of others. V’s eyes are described as fitting this category.
The method also examines the philtrum, the area between the nose and upper lip, when assessing a person’s sense of humor. A longer philtrum is associated with dry or sarcastic humor, while a shorter one is interpreted as suggesting a more direct communication style. V’s longer philtrum is therefore linked to the former interpretation.
His upper lip is given another personality association. Facial-profiling interpretations connect fuller upper lips with generosity, while thinner lips are associated with a more concise communication style. V’s fuller upper lip is consequently interpreted as a possible indicator of generosity.
The appearance of the eyelid folds is used to suggest a person’s approach to decisions and problem-solving. Less prominent folds are associated with decisive, action-oriented personalities, while more noticeable folds are linked to a more analytical approach. V’s thinner eyelid folds are interpreted as suggesting a tendency toward action and decision-making.
His eyes are also central to the analysis of charisma. Stevens’ system associates darker eyes with a stronger magnetic presence and greater charisma. Given V’s naturally dark eyes, the method places him in that category.
While the reading offers an intriguing interpretation of V’s distinctive appearance, facial profiling should not be confused with established psychological assessment. There is no scientific basis for reliably determining an individual’s personality from facial features alone. The observations in this analysis specifically reflect Stevens’ facial-profiling system rather than validated psychological testing.
