Karachi: Indonesia is participating in the annual My Karachi: Oasis of Harmony exhibition at the Karachi Expo Centre from February 6 to 8, aiming to strengthen trade, cultural and educational cooperation with Pakistan.
Facilitated by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Karachi, the country has established an Indonesian pavilion in Hall 5, spanning nearly 9 by 2 metres, designed as a one-stop platform to promote business, academic and cultural engagement.
Consulate officials said the pavilion is intended to connect Pakistani entrepreneurs, professionals, students and the general public with Indonesian opportunities across multiple sectors.
For business visitors, the stall features samples of Indonesia’s leading export products, enabling Pakistani traders and distributors to explore potential partnerships and market access. The display highlights Indonesia’s manufacturing capacity and key commodities, reflecting its interest in expanding bilateral trade with Pakistan.
The pavilion also offers information on higher education and scholarship programmes for Pakistani students. Representatives are providing details on university admissions, academic pathways, and cultural exchange initiatives to encourage greater people-to-people contact.
To increase visitor engagement, the Indonesian team is hosting daily interactive quizzes and activities with prizes throughout the three-day exhibition.
Officials said Indonesia’s presence at the event underscores its commitment to deepening economic collaboration and promoting Indonesia as a reliable trade partner, cultural destination and education hub for Pakistani youth.
The public has been invited to visit the Indonesian pavilion to explore business and academic prospects and participate in the event’s activities.
