Free medical camp in Lyari treats hundreds with medicines, check-ups

Health Reporter

Karachi: Hundreds of residents in Lyari received free medical consultations and medicines at a community health camp organized by the Hope Bridge Welfare Organization in collaboration with the Al-Mustafa Welfare Society.

The one-day camp offered basic health screenings, medical check-ups, prescriptions and essential medicines to men, women and children, aiming to improve access to primary healthcare in one of the city’s underserved localities.

Doctors and paramedics examined patients for common illnesses and provided on-the-spot treatment and guidance, while volunteers assisted in registration and medicine distribution to ensure smooth operations throughout the day.

The camp was inaugurated by Ahmad Raza Tayyab, Secretary General of the Al-Mustafa Welfare Society, who appreciated the joint initiative and stressed the importance of community-driven healthcare services for low-income populations.

Nazneen Sohail, President of Hope Bridge Welfare Organization, led the medical and volunteer teams. Organisers said the strong participation of healthcare professionals and volunteers contributed to the success of the event.

Representatives of both organisations reiterated their commitment to continuing similar outreach programmes in partnership with local communities to provide free medical care and support to those in need.
