KARACHI, August 14, 2026: Pearl-Continental Hotel Karachi celebrated Pakistan’s 79th Independence Anniversary with a ceremony highlighting the country’s heritage, hospitality and national unity.
The celebrations began with a parade by the hotel’s security officers, followed by the national anthem and flag-hoisting ceremony. Mr Kashif Rabbani, General Manager of Pearl-Continental Hotel Karachi, hoisted the national flag as colleagues and guests gathered to mark the occasion with patriotic spirit.

Schoolchildren added to the celebrations with a special performance of national songs. Their presentation created a lively atmosphere and brought guests and hotel staff together in celebration of the national day.
The programme also included a plantation activity and the cutting of a specially prepared Independence Day cake. The morning concluded with breakfast and a gathering that reflected the spirit of Pakistani hospitality and togetherness.
Speaking at the event, Kashif Rabbani emphasised the importance of celebrating Pakistan’s rich heritage, resilience and unity. He also expressed hope for a future marked by progress, optimism and greater national cohesion.
Held under the theme “Celebrating Pakistan – A Tribute to Heritage | Hospitality | Unity,” the event paid tribute to Pakistan’s diverse cultural heritage while highlighting the values of hospitality and unity.
