Karachi: The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 Event Technical Committee has approved Imam-ul-Haq as a replacement for Fakhar Zaman in the Pakistan squad.
Fakhar was ruled out due to an oblique injury, prompting the selection of 29-year-old Imam, who has played 72 ODIs. His inclusion was confirmed following the committee’s approval, which is mandatory for any player replacement in the tournament.
The Event Technical Committee for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 includes ICC General Manager (Cricket) Wasim Khan, ICC Senior Manager (Events) Sarah Edgar, PCB Director (International Cricket Operations) Usman Wahla, and independent representative Shaun Pollock.
