Rupee Resumes Big Gains Against Top Currencies After Oil Heads Reach Islamabad

The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 128th consecutive day on Monday.

Meanwhile, it posted gains against all of the other major currencies during today’s session.

The PKR closed at 279.16 after gaining four paisas against the US Dollar today.

A trade texted ProPakistani that oil futures have stayed at last week’s levels, with $116 as the highest and $98 the lowest rates tracked so far. The currency market is cooling off nicely as Western notes lose value over their countries’ stance in the Gulf War.

“Our traders will continue to see good gains as long as oil-rich countries hold meetings in Islamabad. Market watchers like it,” he added.
