Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah attended a grand ceremony hosted by the U.S. Consulate General Karachi to mark the 249th Independence Day of the United States. They were warmly welcomed by U.S. Consul General Scott Urbom and other senior consulate officials.
The event brought together a diverse group of high-profile attendees, including political leaders, diplomats, consuls general, business figures, and civil society members.
Governor Tessori presented a bouquet to the U.S. Consul General and extended heartfelt congratulations to the American people on their national day. In his remarks, the governor praised the enthusiasm with which the U.S. celebrates its independence in Pakistan, calling it a symbol of strong bilateral ties.
He highlighted that Pakistan-U.S. relations continue to grow based on mutual trust, robust trade connections, and deepening people-to-people engagement. He expressed confidence that this spirit of cooperation would further strengthen in the years ahead.
