Remittances Pakistan Receives $3.63 Billion from Overseas Pakistanis in July

Remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis reached $3.631 billion in July 2026, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The figure marks a 5% increase from June and a 13% rise compared with July 2025. Pakistan received $3.475 billion in June, while inflows stood at $3.215 billion in July last year.

Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of remittances during the month. Pakistani workers in the kingdom sent $914 million home, marking a 10% monthly increase and an 11% rise from July 2025.

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates contributed $737 million. Pakistan also received $555 million from the United Kingdom and $317 million from the United States.

Remittances from other Gulf countries reached $462 million in July.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the latest figures and expressed satisfaction with the 13% year-on-year growth. He also noted that monthly inflows increased by around 4.5% in July.

According to the prime minister, overseas Pakistanis continue to play an important role in supporting the country’s economy. Their remittances provide vital foreign exchange and contribute to economic stability.

Furthermore, Shehbaz Sharif described overseas Pakistanis as an important part of Pakistan’s economic framework. He said the government would continue efforts to facilitate them and address the challenges they face.

The latest figures highlight the continued importance of overseas workers to Pakistan’s external finances. At the same time, the strong annual growth provides a positive signal for the country’s foreign exchange position.
