Google introduces a selfie video feature for secure account recovery.
Google Selfie Video is Google’s latest security feature that allows users to recover access to their accounts by recording a selfie video instead of relying solely on a password.

Under the new system, users first record a selfie video while looking into the camera and following a series of on-screen instructions. The process captures facial images from different angles to verify their identity.
If users later forget their password, they can record another selfie video to recover their account.
Google will compare the new recording with the previously stored video. Once the system confirms the user’s identity, it will restore access to the account.
Google said users can delete their stored selfie video at any time through their account settings.
The company also said it will use the video only for account recovery unless users explicitly grant permission for another purpose.
In addition, Google confirmed that it encrypts all stored selfie videos. The feature also uses advanced security protections to detect and block fraud involving fake images or manipulated videos.
