FPCCI Hosts Seminar on Promoting Women-Led Fashion Brands

Karachi: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) hosted an awareness seminar on the promotion of fashion brands, with speakers urging greater global recognition for Pakistan’s fashion industry and expanded opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
The seminar, titled “Awareness on the Acceleration of Fashion Brands Promotion”, was held at FPCCI’s Tariq Saeed Auditorium and organized by the Central Standing Committee on Women Fashion Brands Promotion. The session was convened by Shimmi Khan with deputy convener Jia Nasir, while Shaheen Shair Ali, Minister and General Secretary of the Women Wing Karachi, attended as chief guest.
Participants included Durdana Arshad, Chair of Women in Rotary; Numaira Manzoor, CEO of Sky Tech; Asiah Seemab, Head of Textile & Design; makeup artist Aliyah Tipu; television personality Sadia Imam; Tasawwar Malik, CEO of TM Travel & Tours; and several other leading businesswomen.
Speakers underlined the rapid growth of Pakistan’s fashion sector and its potential role in strengthening the economy. They stressed the importance of promoting local brands internationally, supporting women-led enterprises, and developing practical initiatives to guide emerging entrepreneurs in fashion and design.
