Seth Rogen Criticizes AI Writing Tools, Says Writers Should Embrace Creativity

Seth Rogen has criticized the growing use of artificial intelligence in scriptwriting.

He said people who rely on AI instead of creativity “shouldn’t be writers.”

During an interview with Brut America at the Cannes Film Festival, Rogen questioned the role of AI-generated content in Hollywood.

He also mocked online claims that artificial intelligence will replace filmmakers and writers.

According to Rogen, many AI-generated videos circulating online lack originality and quality.

‘I Like Writing,’ Says Seth Rogen

Rogen said he genuinely enjoys the writing process.

Therefore, he does not support tools that reduce creative involvement.

He argued that writers should face the challenges of storytelling instead of avoiding them through automation.

He also said people who dislike the writing process should choose another profession.

In addition, he explained that AI tools designed to make him “write less” do not interest him because he values writing itself.

Hollywood Continues to Debate AI in Entertainment

Rogen’s remarks come as the entertainment industry continues debating the role of artificial intelligence in filmmaking and content creation.

Meanwhile, Demi Moore recently urged creatives to adapt to AI instead of resisting it.

Speaking at Cannes, she described opposition to AI as “a battle we will lose.”

Academy Awards Introduce New AI Rules

Earlier this month, the Academy Awards introduced stricter rules regarding artificial intelligence in films.

The organization stated that only real human performers can qualify for acting awards.

Moreover, writers must create screenplays themselves instead of using chatbots or AI systems.

AI Slowly Expands Into Pakistan’s Film Industry

Artificial intelligence is also entering Pakistan’s entertainment industry.

Pakistan’s first AI-generated film, The Next Salahuddin, will premiere soon on HUM TV.

As a result, the debate over creativity, filmmaking, and human storytelling continues to grow worldwide.
