Dubai Unveils 2025 Retail Calendar Packed with Festivals and Events

Year-long schedule is set to elevate Dubai’s status

as a global retail hub with an impressive lineup

of 18 citywide events and activities

Dubai: Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), a part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has announced the 2025 Retail Calendar. This year-long schedule is set to elevate Dubai’s status as a global retail hub with an impressive lineup of 18 citywide events and activities catering to diverse audiences.

The calendar aligns with the ambitious goals of Dubai’s Economic Agenda, D33, to solidify the city’s position as a premier destination for business and leisure. Highlights include iconic festivals like the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), Ramadan in Dubai, and Eid in Dubai. Each event promises unique experiences for residents and tourists, enhancing Dubai’s reputation as a leading shopping and cultural destination.

Transforming Dubai’s Retail Landscape

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of DFRE, emphasized the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. “The 2025 Retail Calendar is designed to cater to diverse interests while driving growth for local businesses and advancing Dubai’s appeal as a global shopping and entertainment hub,” he said.

In addition to flagship events, Dubai will host the Dubai Esports and Games Festival (DEF), Dubai Fashion Season, and the Great Online Sale. Each initiative enhances Dubai’s role in fostering innovation and delivering world-class experiences for locals and visitors alike.

Key Events in the 2025 Retail Calendar

Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF)
Dates: December 6, 2024 – January 12, 2025
Details: The 30th edition of DSF transforms Dubai into a winter wonderland with shopping promotions, live music, fireworks, and family-friendly entertainment.

Chinese New Year
Dates: January 24 – February 2, 2025

Ramadan and Eid in Dubai
Dates: February 28 – April 6, 2025
