Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry is scheduled to hold an important press conference today at 5pm.
The military’s media wing will brief journalists on key security and national security matters during the press conference.
Six Terrorists Killed in Kachhi Operation
Meanwhile, security forces have killed six terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Kachhi district.
According to security sources, the operation targeted militants identified by authorities as belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan. The militants were targeted using quadcopters in the Sanni area of Kachhi.
Security forces also recovered a large quantity of weapons and ammunition from the militants.

A clearance operation is continuing in the area. Security personnel are searching for any remaining militant presence.
Hideouts Destroyed in North Waziristan
In a separate intelligence-based operation, security forces targeted militant positions in North Waziristan.
Several hideouts and tunnels were destroyed during the operation. Security sources also reported the recovery of a large quantity of explosive material.
Several militants were reportedly killed during the operation, although an exact number was not immediately provided.
The recovered explosives were later neutralised with the assistance of the Bomb Disposal Squad.
Security Forces Continue Counterterrorism Operations
Security forces have continued intelligence-based operations against militant networks in different parts of the country.
The latest operations come amid intensified counterterrorism activity in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
