Blood donation camp at Aligarh Institute of Technology

Aligarh Institute at Aligarh Institute of Technology, Department of Computer Science, Sir Syed University and Indus Hospital in collaboration with European Union’s “ICT Applications for Sustainable Environmental Protection (ACTIVE)” project organized the third blood donation camp Conducted.
The camp was inaugurated by Chairman Electrical Engineering Department SSUET Professor Dr. Abrarul Haq. On this occasion, Principal AIT Shahid Jameel, Project Director (NAVTTC-SSUET) Professor Dr. Muhammad Tahir Fatani, Chairman Department of Computer Science and Information Technology Dr. Waleej Haider also accompanied him were present.


Blood donors were attended by a large number of students from Aligarh Institute, Department of Computer Science and Sir Syed University who volunteered to donate blood for this noble cause. They were thoroughly inspected before being given.


Along with the students, the concerned people of Aligarh Institute and other departments of Sir Syed University also participated in this campaign.


The aim of the blood drive was to collect blood for people affected by climate change, suffering from chronic and life-threatening diseases including thalassemia.


The present management of Aligarh institute and Indus Hospital along with ACTIVE Project and Sir Syed University are taking this kind of blood donation drive as their humanitarian duty to help those who cannot help themselves.


The Principal of Aligarh Institute said that Aligarh Institute will continue to lead in humanitarian service in the future as well. In his message, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aamir (Dean) emphasized the importance of such joint efforts in achieving the goals of the ACTIVE project.


Dr. Waleej Haider appreciated Miss Ayesha Urooj, Miss Mehreen Umar, students and the team of Indus Hospital for this effort of humanitarian service.
