Balochistan Terrorism Women Politicians Condemn Attacks on Civilians, Women and Children

Balochistan terrorism came under strong condemnation from women politicians on Sunday as provincial leaders denounced attacks allegedly carried out by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) against civilians, women and children.

Chief Minister’s Adviser Meena Majeed Baloch spoke at a press conference alongside Balochistan Assembly Deputy Speaker Ghazala Gola and Provincial Education Minister Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani.

Meena alleged that BLA militants entered a house and killed 50-year-old Bibi Hanifa and her 17-year-old daughter. She said militants targeting civilians had also threatened the peace and security of local communities.

She described the attackers as members of what the state calls “Fitna al-Hindustan”. Meena said the provincial government would continue efforts to eliminate terrorism and promote peace, development, prosperity and education.

She also stressed that peaceful and patriotic Baloch people had no connection with terrorist groups.

Meena said authorities were taking action against those responsible for killing the father of Asma Jattak. She also described the presence of “Fitna al-Hindustan” in Balochistan as an established security concern.

Women leaders call for action

Meena urged people to oppose attacks on women and civilians. She said militants were trying to create fear by entering homes and violating their sanctity.

Education Minister Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani also condemned attacks on Baloch women. She said terrorists could not achieve their objectives by targeting women.

Durrani questioned what militants hoped to accomplish through attacks on women and called for stronger opposition to violence in the province.

Balochistan Assembly Deputy Speaker Ghazala Gola said authorities would bring those responsible for killing women to justice. She said the issue had particular importance for parliamentarians.

Gola also highlighted the respected position of women in Baloch and Pashtun traditions. She said attacks against women violated deeply held social and cultural values.

Calls for unity against terrorism

Hadia Nawaz said the killing of women inside their homes had raised serious concerns about public safety. She questioned why some criticism focused on the state while terrorist attacks received less attention.

She said the state had created employment opportunities for women and promoted education for girls. According to Nawaz, terrorists had targeted the same communities and undermined those opportunities.

She urged citizens to speak openly against terrorism and remain united against violence.

Chief Minister’s Adviser Shahid Rind also expressed concern over attacks on civilians. He alleged that militants were targeting women and children and using them to advance their objectives.

The political leaders called for continued efforts to restore peace in Balochistan and protect civilians from militant violence.
