World Culture Festival, spanning an impressive

38 days, is a testament to the power of culture

unity, and resilience, Shah says

Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah praised the Arts Council of Pakistan for showing that Pakistan can promote peace through art. He spoke at the Award Distribution Ceremony at the Arts Council.

Mr. Shah highlighted that the World Culture Festival lasted 38 days. He called it a true sign of cultural power and unity. The festival brought together artists from 43 countries right here in Karachi.

“When the idea of hosting international artists was first suggested, it seemed impossible,” he said. “But, the hard work of the Arts Council team made it a reality.”

Cultural Diplomacy and Global Engagement

The Chief Minister pointed out the Arts Council’s important role in cultural diplomacy. He said that such efforts should involve the federal government. “Yet, we see the Arts Council stepping up, with full support from the Sindh Government,” he noted. He added that events like the World Culture Festival show Pakistan’s ability to spread peace through art.

Karachi: A Vibrant Cultural Hub

“This festival proves that Sindh is not just the birthplace of this event but also a center of culture,” Shah said. He explained that Karachi, often shown negatively in the news, has changed its story over the last 38 days.

“This time, the world saw Karachi in a new light. Our theaters were packed, and international groups praised our hospitality,” he said. He stressed that the festival has redefined Karachi as a lively cultural hub.

Looking Ahead

Moreover, CM Murad Shah said cultural diplomacy is becoming more important today. He thanked the Arts Council for leading these efforts. “This festival showed off Sindh’s folk heritage and all of Pakistan to the world,” he stated.

He hopes this year’s success will inspire more participation next year. “Let this remind everyone that Pakistan is a nation of peace, creativity, and hospitality,” he added.

In closing, Mr. Shah congratulated all artists, performers, and organizers. “The Arts Council of Pakistan team should feel proud of their work. They have made Sindh proud and brought honor to Pakistan.”
