Salam Air’s first flight to Islamabad landed today at Islamabad International Airport. The flight, OV563, arrived in Islamabad at 2:55 AM with 203 passengers on board.
The inaugural flight was welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony attended by the Omani Ambassador and the COO/Airport Manager.
Salam Air management and representatives of Menzies (RAS) were also present at the event.
Subsequently, flight OV564 departed Muscat at 4 am with 201 passengers on board. Salam Air plans to operate five Islamabad-Muscat flights per week.
