Sindh Provincial Minister for Labour, Human Resources and Social Protection Saeed Ghani and Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer Munim Zafar Khan attended the second day of the Pakistan First Furniture Trade Show 2026 (2nd Edition) at Expo Centre Karachi as chief guests.
The two dignitaries visited various exhibition stalls, viewed furniture products and interacted with manufacturers and exhibitors.
Saeed Ghani Highlights Furniture Industry’s Economic Role
Speaking during the visit, Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani described Karachi as Pakistan’s economic hub and stressed the importance of promoting industrial and commercial activities to strengthen the national economy.
He said the furniture industry generates significant employment opportunities and contributes to the country’s economic development.

Ghani added that the Sindh government remained committed to working with industrialists to support local industries and expand business activities.
He also highlighted the importance of trade exhibitions, saying such events allow local manufacturers to showcase their products, build business networks and explore new markets.
Munim Zafar Calls for Greater Support for Karachi’s Industries
Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer Munim Zafar Khan said Karachi remained the economic backbone of Pakistan, but industrialists, traders and the business community continued to face numerous challenges.
He emphasised the need to improve facilities for industries, encourage commercial activities and provide stronger support to local manufacturers.
Zafar Khan said the growth of sectors such as furniture manufacturing could strengthen local businesses while creating additional employment opportunities for the city’s youth.
Organisers Highlight Exhibition’s Objectives
Founder of Horizon Events, Rashid Ansari, thanked the visiting dignitaries for attending the exhibition.
He said the event aimed to promote Pakistan’s furniture industry and provide consumers with an opportunity to purchase quality furniture under one roof.
