The Bollywood superstar says injuries caused filming interruptions but confirms the action thriller is now nearing completion.
Shah Rukh Khan has revealed that injuries sustained during the filming of King contributed to delays surrounding the highly anticipated film’s teaser.
The Bollywood superstar addressed fans during an interaction on X, where he joked about the project’s delayed promotional material while asking audiences to remain patient with director Siddharth Anand and the team.
Responding to a fan who described the film as a “sandwich” while asking about its release date, Khan offered a playful reply, saying fans should also think about the “bread crumbs” at the centre of the “tasty tikki”.
Khan later explained that production had faced several interruptions because of injuries sustained while shooting.
“Had a few injuries while shooting so had to start, stop many times but now all broken is fixed and nearly all done so all good,” he said.
The actor assured fans that the additional time was being used to complete the film to the highest possible standard. He said the team was taking time to “put our best foot forward” so audiences could enjoy the finished project.
The superstar also praised the effort behind King, highlighting its action sequences, music and ensemble cast. He jokingly added that even his hair had received plenty of attention during production.

Khan also confirmed that singer Arijit Singh is working on a song for the film, adding to expectations surrounding its soundtrack.
During the X interaction, the actor continued to engage with fans in his trademark light-hearted style, including joking about a compliment regarding his appearance.
King is scheduled for release on December 24. The action thriller marks a major on-screen collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter, Suhana Khan.
The film also features Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Arshad Warsi in prominent roles.
According to the film’s reported storyline, Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan’s characters become involved in a dangerous criminal world and face powerful enemies in a fight for survival.
With filming reportedly nearing completion, fans are now awaiting the first major teaser and further promotional material from Khan and director Siddharth Anand.
