Agro Processors & Atmospheric Gases Limited (APAG), the company behind Pakistan’s popular Soya Supreme cooking oil brand, has been listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), marking a new phase in its 45-year corporate history.

The company marked its listing with a Gong Ceremony at the PSX headquarters in Karachi on Tuesday. APAG has built a diversified portfolio of consumer brands that includes Soya Supreme Cooking Oil and Banaspati, Soya Supreme Olive Cooking Oil, Malta, Smart Sauces, Supremo and Taqat Margarine.

While Soya Supreme remains the brand most closely associated with the company, APAG has expanded its operations across multiple consumer categories and serves millions of customers across Pakistan.

The company’s public offering comprised 58.049 million ordinary shares, representing 15% of its post-IPO paid-up capital. Of these, 43.537 million shares were offered through the Book Building process, with a floor price of Rs32 and a ceiling of Rs44.80 per share. The strike price was ultimately set at Rs33 per share.

The Book Building portion was oversubscribed 1.84 times, while the General Public portion was oversubscribed 1.83 times. The retail offering attracted Rs878 million against Rs479 million worth of shares offered.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ahmed Chinoy, H.I.S.I., Shareholder Director of PSX, welcomed APAG to the listed community and described its arrival as an important addition to the exchange’s consumer sector.

Chinoy said the listing marked the 12th PSX listing of the calendar year and the fourth of the fiscal year, reflecting continued activity in Pakistan’s capital market.

He said the successful IPO demonstrated investor confidence in the country’s consumer sector, particularly in companies with established brands and strong fundamentals. He also highlighted growing participation in the market, noting that investor accounts had exceeded 630,000, with Millennials and Gen Z contributing to the expansion of the investor base.

APAG CEO Ahmad Aziz Ghulamhussain described the listing as a major milestone and the beginning of a new chapter for the company.

He credited APAG’s employees, consumers, stakeholders and business partners for helping build the company and its brands over the past 45 years. He said Soya Supreme had become a familiar name in Pakistani households and expressed confidence in the company’s future growth.

Ghulamhussain said APAG plans to strengthen its existing brands, enter new categories and expand into additional markets. He added that the company’s long-term ambition is to build brands with a global consumer presence.

He also thanked the Pakistan Stock Exchange, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, KTrade Securities, HBL and other advisers and transaction partners involved in the IPO and listing process.

Omar Salah Ahmed, Managing Director of KTrade Securities Limited, welcomed APAG’s entry into the Food sector at PSX, describing the company as a business with a strong corporate history and one of Pakistan’s best-known household brands.

Ahmed said KTrade was honoured to have supported APAG’s journey to the stock exchange and expressed confidence that the company could become one of the notable IPOs of 2026, citing its corporate culture, financial performance and commitment to further professionalise its operations.

The ceremony concluded with the traditional ringing of the PSX Gong, formally marking APAG’s transition into a publicly listed company.

The listing represents a significant milestone for the Pakistani consumer-goods company and provides APAG with a new platform to pursue expansion, innovation and its broader international ambitions.
