Ministry of Brands Brings Global Off-Price Retail to Pakistan

KARACHI: Ministry of Brands (MOB) has launched its first store in Pakistan, bringing its international off-price retail model to Karachi and offering shoppers access to global fashion brands at significantly reduced prices.

The company opened its first Pakistan outlet on August 12, 2026, at Bukhari Commercial in DHA Phase 6, Karachi. It held the store’s official grand launch on September 5.

Spread across three floors, the new retail destination features womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, footwear, handbags and accessories. According to MOB, the store carries more than 2,000 international brand names, including Ferragamo, Ralph Lauren, Farm Rio, Tory Burch, Rag & Bone, On Running, HOKA, Air Jordan, Michael Kors, Karl Lagerfeld and Calvin Klein.

The company says customers can find products at discounts of up to 90% off original retail prices, making the store part of a growing effort to bring international fashion closer to Pakistani consumers.

MOB operates through an off-price retail model in which merchandise is sourced through official programmes with major retailers and department stores in the United States and Europe, according to the company.

Unlike conventional retail stores that maintain relatively stable collections, MOB says its inventory changes frequently, with new products arriving daily and limited quantities available for individual styles.

The approach is designed to create what the company describes as a “treasure-hunt” shopping experience, where shoppers may discover different products during each visit.

For Pakistani consumers who often purchase international brands while travelling abroad, the company says its Karachi outlet provides a local alternative by combining branded fashion, accessibility and discounted pricing.

Director Noor Mandviwalla said the idea behind MOB was to make fashion discovery more accessible and reduce the barriers associated with purchasing international brands abroad.

“I’ve always believed that style should be personal, not privileged,” Mandviwalla said, adding that the concept was designed to bring international brands closer to consumers without requiring overseas travel or a large budget.

She also highlighted the limited nature of much of the store’s inventory, saying it allows customers to find distinctive pieces rather than simply purchasing widely available products.

The September 5 grand launch formally introduced the MOB retail concept to Karachi and marked the company’s next stage of expansion in Pakistan.

MOB said it first launched in Sri Lanka in 2026 and has since begun expanding across South Asia. Karachi is its first location in Pakistan, with further expansion planned, according to the company.

The Ministry of Brands Pakistan store is located at 44C, Bukhari Commercial Area, Khayaban-e-Bukhari, DHA Phase 6, Karachi.
