KARACHI (Staff Reporter): A US trade delegation from Houston, Texas, visited the Quaid-e-Azam Museum, also known as Flagstaff House, in Karachi, gaining an insight into Pakistan’s history and the life and legacy of its founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The delegation included Dr Mubashir Chaudhry, CEO of USP Corporate; Pearl Vuobinen, Vice President; Alessandra Lin Mi, Corporate Compliance Manager; Mahmood Ahmed Khan, Managing Director of Star Marketing (Pvt) Ltd; and Syed Turab Shah, Convener of the FPCCI Central Standing Committee on Corporate Relations and Communication.
The historic residence offered the visitors an opportunity to examine important aspects of Pakistan’s national story while exploring the personal environment in which Jinnah lived and worked.
The Quaid-e-Azam Museum officials welcomed the delegation during the visit. Secretary General Commodore Malik Sadeed received the guests, while Executive Secretary Iram Fawad briefed them on the museum’s background, historical importance and collection.

Members of the delegation examined historical documents, rare photographs, personal belongings and original objects associated with Jinnah and his residence. Among the exhibits that attracted their attention were his personal car, furniture, rare books and gifts.
The visitors described the tour as more than a conventional museum visit, saying it offered an informative and emotional connection with Pakistan’s history and the ideals associated with its founding.
They said the exhibits provided a deeper understanding of the principles and values that shaped the creation of Pakistan. The delegation also stressed the importance of preserving historical landmarks so that younger generations can better understand the country’s journey and the sacrifices associated with its creation.
Mahmood Ahmed Khan said Jinnah’s simple yet dignified lifestyle remained an example, particularly for younger people. He also praised the condition of the museum and its peaceful surroundings, describing the site as a valuable destination for students, researchers and people interested in Pakistan’s history.
The delegation’s visit also highlighted the role of heritage sites in promoting cultural understanding among international visitors. For foreign business representatives visiting Pakistan, such landmarks can provide an opportunity to gain a broader perspective on the country beyond its commercial and economic landscape.
