British singer Ellie Goulding has filed a lawsuit against her former managers, Ben Mawson and Ed Millet of TaP Management, alleging they failed to disclose an ownership relationship between the management company’s parent company and Live Nation.
According to the lawsuit, TaP’s parent company, HNOE, had a partial ownership relationship with Live Nation and later became fully owned by the entertainment company during the period when Mawson and Millet managed Goulding.
Goulding claims she did not know about Live Nation’s ownership of the company. She argues that the undisclosed relationship created a conflict of interest that could have affected decisions involving her career and commercial interests.
Management Relationship Under Scrutiny
Mawson and Millet represented Goulding from 2018 until 2025. According to the lawsuit, they received a 20% commission under their management agreement.

During that period, Goulding entered into several agreements with companies within the Live Nation group. Those deals covered areas including touring, merchandise and a documentary film.
The singer alleges that she did not receive information about the ownership structure connecting her management company to Live Nation.
Alleged Conflict of Interest
Goulding’s legal claim focuses on whether the managers could independently protect her interests while maintaining their relationship with Live Nation.
According to the lawsuit, Mawson and Millet faced contractual restrictions against taking actions that could terminate, reduce or otherwise weaken their clients’ business relationships with Live Nation or its affiliates.
The claim argues that their alleged positions as Live Nation employees gave them a personal interest in transactions between Goulding and companies within the Live Nation group.
Goulding says this situation could have created a conflict when negotiating commercial terms with promoters, merchandisers and other business partners.
The lawsuit therefore centres on whether the alleged ownership structure affected the managers’ ability to act solely in Goulding’s best interests.
The allegations remain claims made in legal proceedings and have not been established in court. The defendants’ response will be part of the legal process.
